Trying to focus on robotics or engineering with a focus on sports (still figuring that out).

Hobbies wise, I love sports, specifically soccer, bball, and football. Let me know if you want to play pickup bball games at the rsf, I'm down.

Merry Christmas.

I am pretty much down to try anything. I love everything about music from listening to playing to mixing. I have played three instruments for the past eleven years in six different bands (I'm a music minor). I love sports especially endurance sports. I did track and field, cross country, and long distance running (marathons) in high school. I am currently on the Cal Triathlon Team and am down for biking, running, or swimming any time of the day. I also follow football and the NBA - gotta love them Lakers. I love outdoor activities and any kinds of extreme sports - surfing, hiking, kayaking, snorkeling, scuba diving, skydiving, etc. You name it and I'm prolly down to try it. I am also part of Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity (ATO). In terms of education, I am really into everything that has to do with space. I aspire to work for NASA (hopefully JPL) one day. I currently work at the Space Sciences Lab doing design work and product fabrication. Post Undergrad, I want to get my Master's in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering then get an M.B.A or Ph.D. - still trying to figure that one out. I want to be a Professor when I grow old and my lifelong dream is to go into space. If you share any of my interests, feel free to talk to me or shoot me an e-mail.

I spend most of my time doing homework. When I'm not doing homework I: play guitar, lounge around, clean my apartment, harass professors in their office hours, listen to metal, motorcycle, and Facebook stalk. If you want to know more about me, ask away. Don't bother Facebooking me, I have anti-stalker setting enabled (ironically).

I like food, sleeping, and running, only if I can tear myself away from watching TV shows.

I'm interested in biomedical/biomechanical engineering; I think being an engineering consultant at some pharmaceutical company would be pretty cool.

I'm in my fourth year here at Cal. I've always been interested in engineering, partially stemming from my fascination with steam trains; since steam engines are about 90 years obsolete though, I hope to be able to do work with modern engines, particularly with combustion and thermodynamics.

Outside of Engineering, I've been a member of the Cal Band all three years I've been here. The geek in me enjoys playing video games, but I also love the outdoors: hiking, camping, kayaking, and traveling in general.

I am interested in controls and design. I hope to land a career in one of the big defense contractor companies or NASA.

During my free time, I like to watch sports, particularly the NBA. Also when I have the chance, I want learn to play tennis.

If you have any questions about PTS or anything, feel free to talk to me. I will be more than willing to help.

I'm here to get you guys jobs after you graduate! So if there is a company you would like to learn more about, send me an email and I will work on getting them to come to Berkeley.

I also enjoy hiking, jogging, playing music, and pulling all-nighters in Etcheverry.

I graduated with BS in ME/MSE. I am a graduate student here for ME with focus on Thermal Sciences. I am also very interested in energy conversions systems.

When I'm out of school, I like working on cars, especially engine, fuel management, and ignition. If you're interested in CalSMV Team (Super Mileage Vehicle), let me know. I manage the engine for the team. I'm really sort of laid back person (I think). I like driving, hiking, riding bike and motorcycles, eating good food (especially Japanese food), and all other fun stuff. Oh by the way, feel free to practice Japanese with me. Or if you want to talk about cars, feel free to ask/talk.

Also, if you just want to talk to me or ask me about any classes you need to take for ME/MSE joint major, feel free to ask me. I usually take 5 upper-div engineering courses a semester :(

I grew up in northern southern California. Played basketball, football and baseball all through high school and still play anything involving a ball. Recently I started training for a triathlon. I've never really done much in the way of endurance sports or much distance swimming so I will likely drown. Should be fun though.
As far as school goes, I'm still not sure I really want not be a mechanical engineer, but I enjoy fluids and thermo stuff. I recently started doing research on volcanic eruptions so if you guys want to know how long we have until Yellowstone erupts and kills us all, just ask.

I'm in my second year at Cal and although I love engineering, im also interested in just about everything else. I like playing soccer, had played jazz trumpet until this semester-hopefully will play again next semester-, am learning Turkish, like backpacking on occasion (would love to go more often), having deep intellectual discussions about non-important and important stuff, travelling, and am probably also at least slightly interested in something you're interested in so try me!

I am a ME/MSE joint major. I love school, taking classes, and studying for some reason. I function better when I have way too many things to do. Outside of school and engineering, I love the cooking and eating of really good food, exploring wilderness, music, concerts, movies, and the arts. I also love trying new things, and being adventurous.

I am interested in design, entrepreneurship, robotics, management and teaching.

How I got here: I am an athlete, but injuries prevented me from running, so I joined engineering groups. Being involved in student groups has been the greatest part of my college experience. I highly recommend trying it.

Exciting student group possibility: Robotics Group. Email me if you are interested (you don't have to be in PTS).

uhhh.....SooooKay!

My name is McKay, but somehow all of PTS thinks my name is mansen. I really don't know how this came about.

I like the airforce. I'm in AFROTC and will be commissioning as a 2nd lieutenant in May 2011. I do not, however, want to be a pilot. If you see me in my uniform on campus, go ahead and salute me. I probably won't salute back, though.

I like being in PTS because its a good way to make friends.

I hail from southern California and love the sun, sports, and iced coffee. When I’m not busy getting my study on, I like to play/watch basketball and soccer (my favorite teams are the Lakers and Manchester United), but I also started to pick up golf over the summer and am looking to improve my swing.

Besides majoring in mechanical engineering, I am hoping to pursue a minor in bioengineering/biomechanics—I still can’t decide whether I want to enter the medical field or chase my childhood dreams of space exploration by working for NASA.

Although it gets hectic, I love being involved in student groups on campus and I hope to see you at PTS events in the future.

Hello, I am in my 4th year at Cal. I like to watch TV shows, bake/cook, eat dessert and drink wine. If you know any good wine bars around here, let me know! ;) I'm serving as the web designer, so if you have any questions or suggestions on the website, please email me at webmaster at pts dot berkeley dot edu! Thanks! :)

I served as the President of PTS in the Spring of 2009. I graduated in the same semester, and I have stayed on at Cal to pursue a Master's Degree. My focus is Combustion and Thermal Sciences, so if you want to know about burning stuff, talk to me. They don't call me the grillmaster for nothing.

I completed a double major in mechanical engineering and astrophysics in May and am in the 5th year BS/MS program in Mechanical Engineering. I work for Claire Tomlin in the EECS department on a robotic testbed of 5 autonomous rotorcraft. Eventually I hope to pursue a career in the space industry working to make private spaceflight possible and useful to the entire planet. My ultimate goal is to fly in space and walk on the moon. But in the meantime I spend my time waterskiing, playing basketball, traveling, taking pictures, and enjoying life. I am also a huge fan of the Cal Bears, Utah Jazz, Utah Utes, Tampa Bay Rays, and anything having to do with Portuguese soccer.

If you have problems with your fluids class, come see me. Seriously. I would love to help.

I love fluid mechanics, aerodynamics and continuum mechanics. I spent five years in the military working on aircraft hydraulics. Fun stuff! Now, I'm currently on the 5 year BS/MS program.

Life story in a nutshell: Born and raised in the Philippines, 5 years in the US Marines, current M.E. grad student, PTS adviser, TBP officer and former ASME secretary. My favorite professor is Jim Casey.

Let's go bowling!

This semester, I am advising the Industrial Liaisons. Aside from my engineering interests, I spend entirely too much time with Israeli Folk Dance (I even teach a DeCal on it) and theater (my minor!). An interesting fact: I have never owned an MP3 player, and I don't intend to. (Technically, I had one once, but it didn't work, and I didn't bother to return it.)

My interest lies in the intersection between Mechanical Engineering and Environmental Engineering. I believe that green products and sustainable product design will be the wave of the future.

I also really enjoy all forms of physical exercise, especially running and biking. There are some really great trails in the Berkeley area.

I like bumming around my apt watching tv (huge Entourage, Breaking Bad, House fan), playing video games, and eating.

I am also obsessed with watching basketball (Lakers will repeat!), but I'm horrible at actually playing the game. If you ask me whether Kobe or Lebron is better, get ready for a 20min lecture.

Academically, I have no idea what I want to specialize in. I have no aspirations for grad school, but I would love to get involved in the aerospace industry after graduation.
