About PTS
Membership
Membership to PTS is based on academic standing. We offer an invitation to the top 25% of the junior and top 35% of the senior mechanical engineering class. If qualified, please check emails at the start of each semester.
Connections
Pi Tau Sigma is a great way to make connections with other top tier engineers and faculty members in Mechanical Engineering at Cal.

PTS Services
Tutoring
PTS holds tutoring hours at 136 Hesse Hall on Mondays (12:30-2pm), Tuesdays (2-3:30pm), Wednesdays (4-5pm) and Fridays (2-4pm). Please come by for tutoring in any of the core ME subjects. Tutors are experienced PTS members who have excelled in these classes!
Mentorship
The PTS Mentoring program offers all students in Mechanical Engineering the opportunity to have a personal mentor that they can turn to with any questions or concerns. The mentoring program is dynamic and caters to the student, adjusting to whatever he or she wishes to get out of it.
Test Bank
Pi Tau Sigma has a test bank where past Mechanical Engineering exams are posted. We encourage current students to use these tests for studying, as they can be very helpful in solidifying knowledge!
